ABSTRACT
THE INFLUENCE OF INDUSTRIAL ENVIRONMENT AND PROMOTION TO THE PERFORMANCE OF THE COMPANY
(Case Study at Small and Medium Enterprises (SME’s) in Kasongan at district of Bantul, Yogyakarta)
      
Environmental industry of Small and Medium industry is the shape of the relationship between industry and industrial circumstances that determine industry in achieving corporate goals. Small and Medium Industry Centers Kasongan is pottery-producing industries that are sold traded both domestically and abroad. The problem in this research is to decrease the performance of small and medium industrial at Kasongan. While the purpose of this study was to find out how the industrial environment, promotion and performance of enterprise and industry and promotion of environmental influences on firm performance either partially or simultaneously. 
      Type of explanatory type of research is research with the unit of analysis in this study a number of 47 respondents for small businesses and 8 respondents to medium businesses drawn from a population of 118 people that small and medium business owners at Kasongan and proportionate sampling using stratified random sampling. Techniques of data collection through direct questioners to the 47 respondents of small and medium enterprises 8 respondents. Data analysis using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics through the test of validity, reliability test, simple linear regression, multiple regression, the coefficient of determination, t test, and the f test with SPSS program.
      Conclusion of the study confirmed that small industrial environment simple categorization while secondary industry is divided into two simple and complex. Promotion of small industries that do not appropriate while the secondary industry is appropriate. Suggestions that can be delivered to small businesses should conduct a more intensive campaign to improve performance for enterprise and medium industries should increase the frequency of promotions.
